Enlightenment isn’t complicated. Our delusions are complicated, and the resultant mess (samsara) is complicated. Enlightenment is simple. All we need to do is stop cherishing ourself and cherish only others.

"What could be more foolish than to arrive at death empty-handed?"
Enlightenment isn’t complicated. Our delusions are complicated, and the resultant mess (samsara) is complicated. Enlightenment is simple. All we need to do is stop cherishing ourself and cherish only others.
"Jealousy is very harmful for individuals and society. In an instant it can destroy our own and others’ happiness and harmony, and lead to fighting, or even war. In everyday life we can see how people react with jealousy in regard to relationships, business, position and religious views, causing suffering to so many people. Our problems of jealousy can be solved simply by learning to rejoice in others’ happiness and goodness. This can be practiced even while we are lying down, relaxing, or going about our daily activities."
The nature of our mind is clarity, but due to ignorance, we don’t experience this regularly. Through training in controlling negative minds, we will start to experience a clear, peaceful mind.
"Examining my mental continuum throughout all my actions,
As soon as a delusion develops
Whereby I or others would act inappropriately,
May I firmly face it and avert it."
Happy Buddha’s Enlightenment Day!
"If you realize your own mind, you will become a Buddha. You should not seek Buddhahood elsewhere."
“It is completely meaningless to put effort into activities that have no essence.”
- Venerable Atisha
Extreme Ironing (or EI) is an extreme sport and a performance art in which people take an ironing board to a remote location and iron items of clothing. According to the official website, extreme ironing is “the latest danger sport that combines the thrills of an extreme outdoor activity with the satisfaction of a well-pressed shirt.”
Part of the attraction and interest the media has towards extreme ironing seems to centre on the issue of whether it is really a sport or not. It is widely considered to be tongue-in-cheek.
